Cross country skiing
In Sölllandl you can make your rounds on perfectly groomed cross-country trails. All of the towns on the Wilden Kaiser (Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau and Going) all have connecting cross-country tracks of varying difficulty. The Hotel AlpenSchlössl is located directly on the Sunnseitloipen in Söll. You can join the tracks directly from the hotel.
Tobogganing and night tobogganing
Children love it. It also brings adults great pleasure – as long as appropriately dressed! –That’s how you stay warm while tobogganing. Only the wind in your face is icy cold, but you won’t want to miss out on that! As with speed, comes the fun of tobogganing: In Söll the “Hexenritt” and the “Mondrodelbahn”. Close to Going is the “Astberg toboggan run”. Sports shops have toboggans for hire at the various runs.
Ski touring
Several slopes in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental are available for ski touring. A ski tour in good visibility with evenly ascending terrain is recommended for beginners. Try it out in Söll during the day and on Thursday evenings on the Ellmauer ski touring evening. Naturally the mountains surrounding Söll offer many other possibilities for ski touring.
